So the Trump era begins. We’ll have to see how the new President’s policies impact the economy and security in our region. I’m confident that his plan and leadership ability will be enough to succeed and earn him a second term. More on the President in later blogs…for now, the race to Drumthwacket begins in earnest.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and disappointment in Senator Cory Booker
Yesterday was a holiday in honor of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I thought it would be appropriate to share some of my thoughts on the man and his mission to stand against injustice. Dr. King stood for racial equality in the face of institutionalized racism. Here’s a quick reference of some of his accomplishments from the King Center Website. It’s important that holiday’s like yesterday are more than just a day off. It’s time for all of us to understand our history and celebrate the accomplishments of a great man.
Recovery Events and the Fight to End the Heroin Epidemic In New Jersey
We’ve had a busy few days over the past weekend between the Red Forum with Kevin Meara and City of Angels, NJ on Friday at Rider University to the event that I co-hosted with Jessica Nutt at Bar Anticipation for the Fifth Annual Big Man’s Birthday Bash raising money for CFC Loud & Clear Foundation and The Overdose Prevention Agency Corporation (TOPAC).
