Daylight Savings is an antiquated system which drives me nuts. Now we are into Daylight Savings, so why should we fall back in November? Setting the clocks forward an hour made more sense in the 1700’s when whale oil was prevalent, now it’s only costing us!
How many of you complain that it is getting darker at 5 pm before winter really sets in? Are you dragging now because of the loss of an hour? Should we end the clock changes now? Cast your vote!

I hate changing the clocks forward and back every year. Sure the iPhone and cable box resets itself, but how about the several large face clocks hanging in my house? They have to be taken off the wall, reset manually and then carefully placed back without scratching the wall paint. And for what? Supposedly saving energy? Great daylight in the evening? On Friday’s Chasing News, we sat down with U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman, the top federal prosecutor for New Jersey, to discuss his office’s efforts to combat religious discrimination.
Fishman held a forum last week, the first of several planned by the Justice Department throughout the United States. It brought together Fishman’s office, which handles all federal criminal and civil prosecutions in New Jersey, along with representatives from Jewish, Muslim, Asian and Indian-American communities and the White House. They discussed fighting, bullying and harassment, specifically in schools. Also, Fishman announced the creation of a unit in his office dedicated to looking into potential civil rights violations.
U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman penned an op-ed on NJ.com under the guise protecting ‘religious liberty’, specifically protecting Islam from discrimintation. The article stems from workshops conducted through a directive from the Justice Department to focus on the possibility of discrimination toward the Islamic community. We’ve heard the terms ‘Islamophobia’ and the ‘hijacking of the religion of peace’ as the Obama administration and the forces of political correctness continue to ignore the in-your-face evidence of Islamist terrorism and dangers right here at home. Donald Trump has become the focal point with Fishman mentioning him during his conversation with Alex Zdan on Chasing News, stating that things are worse in recent months.
